At the start of each school year we spend a couple of periods on digital citizenship (online safety, etiquette, privacy, etc.). The kiddos groan and say, “We’ve talked about this every year!” It’s important to drill this into their little heads. When my daughters received swim lessons at age six, that didn’t mean they didn’t need swim lessons at age eight! Learning is cumulative.
So let me share one of my digital citizenship lesson ideas. It’s a Google slides presentation with a discussion question at the end. Students can even print out pocket-sized d.c. online safety cards. This mini lesson is available on Teacher Pay Teachers.
