Organization: Classroom Organization Labels

Teachers know how crucial organization is for classroom function and learning.  An organized classroom provides a calm and comfortable learning environment.  These cute and functional organization labels will help to keep your lesson and unit materials organized and ready to use. Students will be able to retrieve office supplies, craft and art materials and digital devices quickly; allowing them to get right to work. Responsible and independent behavior develops as they learn to return an item to its designated labeled spot. 😉 As Ben Franklin said, “A place for everything, everything in its place.”

There are other benefits in using the labels:

  • Substitutes can readily find and access needed materials
  • The picture on each label helps young readers make connections between print and the real objects until they can read the words
  • The labels may be laminated to use as flashcards

The .PDF file is available HERE and includes eighty-six 3”×5” illustrated color labels (43 print and 43 cursive).  You can also print the labels in black and white by changing your printer settings. Attach these labels to folders, binders, baskets, bins, student centers, shelving — the possibilities are endless!

Until next time,
