Welcome! I’m so glad we stumbled upon one another. This little blog site is where I like to share ideas on student well-being, technology integration, class-wide investigations and how-to tutorials.
I am a wife, mother, daughter, sister, friend and teacher. I am married to my best friend and an understanding guy who is willing to support my whimsies. Between us, we have two beautiful daughters, a great son-in-law, a lively grandson and a spoiled pup. My “90-something” mom lives with us along with her rescue beagle. Needless to say, it is always busy and loud at our house!
Fine arts, crafting and using digital tools have always interested me. I enjoy the hunt, as well as the find of vintage or industrial things. If wearing old cloths and digging deep is the plan; then all the better. My art background and technical training have inspired and helped me to enhance my lessons and instructional pedagogy.
I am Virginia state, ISTE and Google Educator L1 certified and have taught students aged 3 to middle school for 40+ years. Currently, I am a technology coordinator and resource teacher for a small PK3-8 school and deeply believe that learning should prepare students for their individual futures, be fun and accessible to all. If you are interested in more information on resources I’d be honored to have you visit my fledgling TPT Store, Seashore Scholar.
This blog started mainly for myself and education family friends – but has started to sprout baby wings. I’d love to hear what YOU are doing, what INSPIRES you. Drop a line!
